Pennsylvania’s Lemon Law is designed to protect consumers from new cars that are unsafe and defective.
The law covers issues that start in the first 12 months or 12,000 miles of ownership.
- The issue must impair the use, value or safety of the vehicle
- The issue must have first occurred in the first 12 months or 12k miles of ownership
- The dealer/manufacturer is allowed three attempts at fixing the issue
- Or the issue caused the car to be out of service for 30 days or more
There is typically no cost to you.
If the manufacturer accepts your claim, they must pay for collateral fees, including reasonable attorney’s fees, court fees, and expert witness fees.
